Some of my readers have asked me why I called my series, The Butterfly Prophecy Series, and why the hero in my book is a Butterfly Child. Butterflies remind us to keep our faith and our hope as we undergo change in our lives. The butterfly helps us to understand that no matter how much we resist change, our anger and fretting are useless against the turning tides of nature. In fact, it has always been my view that change is the only thing you can count on in life.
Butterflies are deep and powerful representations of life. Many cultures and religions associate the butterfly with our souls and resurrection, because they are so ethereal and are like fairies dancing on air; but also because of the metamorphosis of the caterpillar into a butterfly. Now there is a transformation that is something to behold! Perhaps this aspect of the butterfly reminds us that death is just another transformation--one in which we will spread our wings and fly into a new dimension.
My book tells the story of a woman who loves all things. And, she loves this one man throughout time who is the one whose love transforms her into what she was always meant to be. She is driven by a deep need to bring peace and harmony among her people--immortal kind--and to bridge the divide between the mortal and immortal worlds.
Can you imagine human science on the brink of eliminating disease so that humans will no longer die of cancer, heart attacks, stroke, rare disorders or even old age? That kind of power may be enough to prepare humans to see something they could not before. In my book, human evolution is on the brink of discovering there are those among them who do not die and who have been among them all along, but like dark matter, which we know is in the universe, but we cannot see it, these immortals are in the human world, but humans cannot see them.
The only way forward is by embracing the promise of a beautiful winged creature, born of immortal and human kind whose soul and heart reconciles what is best about both humans and immortals and can unite them in their highest form--when they love truly and deeply what is all around them--because love is what will always be stronger than our fear and love will always deliver us to our soulful purpose in this life…in all our lives in all dimensions…
Next time you see a butterfly I hope you smile, feel lighter and know that life is good.
